JOSHUA COCCAGNA, PGA ~ General Manager
Josh began his golf career growing up in southwestern Pennsylvania and has always appreciated being around the game and what it has to offer. Josh attended Penn State University where he focused on the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management program, while also majoring in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management and also minoring in Business. Following college, Josh started his career at Pronghorn in Bend, Oregon as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional. From there, he advanced to Glacier Club in Durango, Colorado as the Director of Golf while overseeing other parts of the operation. In October of 2019, Josh joined the team here at Butte Creek as General Manager. Josh’s background
with high end private club service levels and development projects will help
lead Butte Creek into the future. Josh values the team atmosphere a club provides for both the staff and members alike, and is proud to be a part of the Butte Creek Country Club family.
Derrick is a long-time employee here at Butte Creek Country Club and has been a key asset to the Club's success. Derrick started out working outside services here while attending Chico State. He has developed his career immensely by moving up the ladder as the Head Golf Professional and through attending PGA schooling where he received his first class certification. Derrick, a Vacaville native, played golf throughout high school and college and still enjoys the valuable time spent playing golf with Members and guests when he can. Derrick brings a great attitude and really promotes the Butte Creek Experience to all of the golfers that come out to enjoy this beautiful course. DERRICK SCHULTZ, PGA ~ HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL
MORGAN SPRAUL ~ GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
Morgan Spraul has an impressive resume in the golf course turfgrass management industry. Morgan’s love for golf began in high school when he worked at Waupaca Country Club, a nine hole course in Wisconsin. He went on from there to gain valuable experience at Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas. After Las Vegas, Morgan attended Penn State University’s Golf Turfgrass Management Program during which he completed his internship at the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. Upon graduating from Penn State, Morgan worked at Cypress Point Club, El Dorado Golf and Beach Club, and Lake Arrowhead Country Club. In 2015, Morgan took on the Assistant Superintendent role at The Club at Kukui’ula where he spent 3 years at the high-end club on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Morgan accepted the position of Golf Course Superintendent here at Butte Creek Country Club in January of 2019. NIKKI ERNENWEIN ~ FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER
Nikki has been in the restaurant industry for over ten years and during that time she has worked in many different roles. In that ten years she worked for two different restaurant corporations before coming to Butte Creek Country Club. She gained much knowledge, and training throughout her work experience. She graduated from Chico State with a Bachelor’s degree in 2011, and decided to stay in Chico and start a family. Nikki had been at Butte Creek Country Club for 2 years prior to accepting the Food and Beverage Manager role in January 2016. She now leads the Food and Beverage department and coordinates weddings, private events, corporate meetings, and more here at Butte Creek C.C. BRANDON SOUDERS ~EXECUTIVE CHEF
Brandon Souders has a deep passion for cooking and almost anything involving food. He received his education from the accredited culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco, CA. For the past 13 years, Brandon has worked for private country clubs, restaurants, taught cooking techniques, and owned his own business as a personal chef. His cooking style is Seasonal Americana. Brandon enjoys working with local farmers and incorporating their seasonal products into his plates. He also enjoys to take different cuisine from other cultures and incorporate it with classic dishes and technique to create exciting menus. Michelle mcnamara ~ membership COORDINATOR
Michelle McNamara has a strong background in hospitality and sales. She grew up working in the restaurant industry at her father's fine dining steakhouse in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from California State University of Monterey Bay with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Before she joined the team here at Butte Creek in 2017, she worked in the Guest Relations Department at the nationally recognized Carmel Valley Ranch Resort and a Staffing Agency in Portland. Michelle has a great dedication towards providing a personable and enjoyable experience for our current and prospective members.
