Nick Bailey ~ General Manager
Nick began his golf career in the bay area, growing up playing, practicing and working at local nine hole par 3 courses in Cupertino, California. After high school Nick went on to New Mexico State University, where he enrolled in the Professional Golf Management program which focused on Marketing while emphasizing the PGA Program. Shortly after graduating college, Nick accepted a position as Assistant Professional at CordeValle, a high end private club just south of San Jose. Being there just over 10 years, Nick worked his way up to Director of Golf the last three years of his tenure, and in September 2015 accepted the position of General Manager here at Butte Creek Country Club! Nick brings his high end private club experience and his vision to where this great club can rise to in the Chico community and looks forward to executing that over the coming years. DERRICK SCHULTZ ~ GOLF & PRO SHOP MANAGER
Derrick is entering his 11th year here at Butte Creek Country Club and has been a key asset to the property. Derrick started out working outside services here while attending Chico State, and slowly worked his way up as he works through his PGA schooling. Derrick, a Vacaville native, played golf throughout high school and college and still enjoys the valuable time spent playing golf with Members and guests when he can. Derrick brings a great attitude and really promotes the Butte Creek Experience to all of the golfers that come out to enjoy this beautiful course. Nick Price ~ 1st Assistant Golf Professional, PGA Apprentice
Nick began his golf career growing up in Portland, Oregon playing on his high school golf team and caddying at Portland Golf Club. After high school, Nick went on to College of the Desert where he majored in Golf Management and Kinesiology. Nick also played two years on the golf team, where he and his team won the California State Championship his freshman year. Nick worked at Marrakesh Country Club during his two years in college, working as a Golf Shop Assistant. Nick moved to Chico in June of 2013 where he joined the Butte Creek C.C. Golf Operations team where he worked his way up to the Assistant Golf Professional Position. Eric Eguaras ~ Golf Course Superintendent
Eric Eguaras, a central valley native, began his start in the golf industry playing for his high school golf team and eventually played a year on UCD golf team. Eric has a long history of providing exceptional golf course conditioning to his home clubs including over ten years at Yolo Fliers club before coming to Butte Creek C.C. in 2008. Eric’s experience includes being a 20 year member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) as well a rich understanding of some tough north valley climates for growing and cultivating grasses. NIKKI ERNENWEIN ~ FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER
Nikki has been in the restaurant industry for over ten years and during her that time she has worked in many different roles. In that ten years she worked for two different restaurant corporations before coming to Butte Creek Country Club. She gained much knowledge, and training throughout her work experience. She graduated from Chico State with a Bachelor’s degree in 2011, and decided to stay in Chico and start a family. Nikki has been at Butte Creek Country Club for two years, and accepted the Food and Beverage Manager role in January 2016. Mimi McCluskey-Wise ~ Executive CheF
When Mimi stated to her parents that she wanted to attend cooking school jaws dropped, having only burned cookies so far it came as quite a shock. After attending Cabrillo College Mimi worked in a variety of venues in the Monterey Bay area including the famous Shadowbrook Restaurant in Capitola, the Casa Blanca in Santa Cruz and the Pasatiempo Golf Club. Using her experience as Sous Chef, Executive Chef and Pastry Chef Mimi decided to move to the mountains. While in the Tahoe area Mimi became the Executive Chef for the Cornice Café at the Kirkwood Ski Resort. After satisfying her ski bum aspirations she moved on to warmer climates. Club Med was her next destination, working at both the Florida and Caribbean resorts Mimi learned how the French do things. While at Club Med Mimi established her expertise and became the Sous Chef for one of the private restaurants on the Florida property. Working in the many diverse venues over Mimi’s long career she brings to Butte Creek CC an eclectic vision of the many wants and needs of the Club members. Anne Marie Guay ~ Controller/HR Specialist
Anne Marie has worked in various business industries for over 35 years. Originally brought up in a military family, she has lived in most of the coastal US states where she believes she learned her ability to be flexible. She has held positions such as Controller, CFO, General Manager and Sales & Marketing, and most recently became an independent business consultant for small businesses located in California. Anne Marie came on board with Butte Creek Country Club in September 2015 and is enjoying the team atmosphere promoted by upper management. As the golf industry is a new business model for her, she is enjoying what the club represents and the commitment of its members and management to provide the Butte Creek Country Club experience.
